How Big Are Womp Rats?

Womp rats are not as big as Luke Skywalker would have us believe. In fact, they’re no larger than two meters! It’s amazing how fast they reproduce – a single female can produce a brood of sixteen! The number of womp rats in the wild is unknown, but locals hunt them for sport and to use their meat.

They can attack without a sound and are known to hunt larger creatures in packs. Womp rats are also known to bite in such a way that their teeth become encrusted in the prey’s skull.

Womp rats have been around for many years, and have survived in harsh environments. They can grow up to two meters in length and have distinctive spiky black hairs on their backs.
