One report claims that the rat’s body weighs around 12 pounds. These claims are based on inaccurate measurements. The rodent is a type of African Pouch Rat, which is usually kept as a pet.
The rat’s body size is estimated to be about four feet in length. The rat was found dead in a bush in east London. It was four feet long, larger than a cat or a Jack Russell. It was found near a playground which backs onto a railway line. But despite the rat’s size, many scientists do not believe the claim.
Rats are common in London and are typically about 10 inches long. Nevertheless, one “huge” rat was spotted on the tube system in 2014. This was a German rat. Although the association has yet to calculate statistics for the whole of this year, it has reported a spike in sightings in the past two months. Despite the widespread rat problem, London has not put an overarching plan in place to eliminate it.
