To prevent rats from getting into your chicken coop, make sure to regularly clean it. Remove any discarded feed and other items that rats might consume. In addition, don’t leave your chickens outside during the day. If you don’t want rats to get inside your coop, you can install wire mesh in the entrance and exit points. Experts recommend a mesh that is 10mm wide by 10mm high.
