The dunks can be placed on the surface of the water and then broken up and spread around the pool. A few can be used for each square foot of surface area. The dunks should remain in the water for about 30 days.

You can find other types of products to use in your swimming pool. These include shock chlorination, algaecide, and mosquito bits. While these can help to keep your pool free of bugs, they are not completely guaranteed. It is always best to choose safe products.

A common alternative to shock chlorination is to use mosquito granules. These granules are made of methoprene, which is a synthetic growth hormone inhibitor. These granules can last for up to 30 days and are ideal for large ponds or yard water features.

Another product to consider is Pre-Strike Mosquito Torpedo tablets. These tablets dissolve over three days. These tablets are completely safe to use in pools, but they will not work on all larvae.
