Can Head Lice Be Drowned?
It is not easy to get rid of head lice. The main problem is that these bugs are resistant to over-the-counter treatments. This means that many people with lice are turning to homemade treatments to try and get rid of lice quickly and effectively. Unfortunately, this results in a vicious cycle of spending hours cleaning, treating and nit-picking lice, and then spending even more money on the treatments.
Many of the remedies for head lice are ineffective, including chemical shampoos and home remedies. The problem is that lice are constantly evolving to develop a resistance to pesticides and other chemicals. Moreover, there is no reliable way to kill the lice’s eggs. While lice combs can be effective in removing the lice, the process of combing is tedious and inconvenient for busy parents. As a result, some parents try to use home remedies, but these are not proven to work and some may even be harmful.
As a preventative measure, it is best to check the entire family. It is also a good idea to comb your hair with a fine-toothed comb. This will prevent lice from hiding in the hair.
