Why Do Flies Sit on You?

Many flies are attracted to human skin because it is filled with oils and sweat. They also like the moisture and dead cells on our bodies. Besides your skin, flies are attracted to sweat and dead animals. They also have an acute sense of smell. Because of this, they will land on your skin, smelling it, and potentially picking up a meal.
