Why Do Flies Come Out in the Cold?

Flies live for about 4 weeks. They will become adult flies only after the weather gets warmer. However, if the temperature goes below 32degF, their life cycle will begin to slow down. It takes about two to three months for a larva to mature to a fly.

In order to prevent flies from entering your home, you should seal holes in the eaves and attics. They will be attracted to warm air and will try to find a place to stay. It is also a good idea to keep dead flies out of your house.
