Bathing your puppy with flea-killing shampoo is a great way to get rid of fleas. When you bath your dog, make sure you get down to the skin, and wait for at least five minutes before rinsing. Rinse thoroughly afterward to ensure that all of the treatment has been removed. Once your puppy is clean, towel him off to dry.

It is also important to remember that fleas are carried from one animal to another. So, you may need to treat the mother as well as the puppies, too.
