Advantage is a monthly topical that works to kill fleas, and is safe to use on your dog. It works in just 12 hours, and continues to work for 30 days. However, you should use other flea products in conjunction with Advantage in order to get full protection.
Advantage contains imidacloprid, which paralyzes fleas and kills their larvae. The active ingredient will not kill other parasites, however. Advantage is recommended for dogs and puppies at least 7 weeks old, and pregnant dogs and puppies are not recommended for use.
