Do Nematodes Really Kill Fleas?
Nematodes are an effective flea control treatment. However, you should be aware that dead nematodes will not help you get rid of fleas. It is important to purchase nematodes from a reputable seller and use them immediately after purchase. Nematodes can be stored for up to two weeks but should be used right away or they will die.
Firstly, make sure you have enough water to mix the nematodes in. The solution should not be too hot or too cold as these insects are sensitive to both light and heat. You should mix the nematodes in the water and leave them for no more than 30 minutes, as the longer you leave them in water, the less effective they will be.
Beneficial nematodes are sold in packages. They are microscopic worms that penetrate the exoskeleton of insects. Ten million nematodes will cover 2000 to 3000 square feet. They do not require any pesticides and will not harm your dog or cat.
Besides being completely safe for your pets, nematodes can be an effective way to get rid of fleas naturally. They can be placed on outdoor areas or in the home. They will live on flea larvae and feed on them. As a result, the flea population will decrease.
