The best method to freeze sand fleas is blast freezing. However, you can also use a quality frezzer. Sand fleas should be wrapped separately and kept on ice until just before baiting. A damp cloth placed over the bucket will help prevent the fleas from drying out.

Sand flea eggs are orange, so they’re visible to fish. If you’re using them as bait, you can try placing them in shallow water with a fluorescent orange bobber. You can use these same lures in the same way as attractor beads if you’re using light line.
