Is Oggy a Cockroach?

Cat Oggy is the kind of cat that enjoys the simple things in life. However, it has some annoying roommates who raid the cat’s fridge and make messes. It isn’t easy for the cat to clean up after them, but Oggy secretly misses them when they’re not around. He also misses his nature-loving neighbor Olivia. Fortunately, Olivia is an animal lover, and she can help Oggy get back on track.

Oggy and the Cockroaches is a French animated series that originally aired on Canal+ Family and France 3. It has since been translated into many different languages and is still popular worldwide. The Hindi dub has even featured Jack as the older brother of Oggy. The show is rated G, and the show is suitable for children ages two and up.

Although cockroaches are not technically insects, they are regarded as ancient animals. Some fossils show that cockroaches were about 350 million years old. Some of them are even older than some dinosaurs! Oggy also has a blue fur that makes him look like a Russian blue cat or a British shorthair cat. The cockroaches also seem to be aware that they’re in a cartoon, as they sometimes look directly at the viewers.

In the comics, cockroaches make appearances in The Daltons, Zig & Sharko, and Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure. They also make an appearance in “Space Goofs” and the episode “Venus Junior”. The cockroaches ride Etno on the aliens’ flooded house.
