They are primarily found in areas that are damp and dark. They are also more likely to be found near soil and food sources. They can also travel through crevices and are very common in basements, crawlspaces, and behind laundry facilities.
Although an albino cockroach is not poisonous, it is dangerous to your health because it is known to carry dangerous germs. Many diseases are spread by cockroaches, including respiratory infections and allergies. Their exoskeletons also contain allergens that can aggravate asthma and allergies. These germs can be particularly dangerous for children.
Cockroaches go through seven or eight molts before they reach maturity. Each molt involves the roach shedding its old skin and developing a new one proportionate to its size. This process continues until the cockroach reaches adulthood. During a molt, cockroaches will shed their skin, and the exoskeleton will be soft and white until it hardens into a darker shade.
Albino cockroaches are common. Their white skin is due to the lack of pigmentation on their body. Consequently, they are more vulnerable to keratosis and sunburn. Albino cockroaches have the same genetic condition as other roach species, and it is not uncommon to find one in your home.
