How to Prevent Cockroaches From Climbing Up Bedposts
If you have ever seen an unsightly cockroach in your bed, it probably hasn’t been climbing up the bedpost. However, roaches have claw-like feet and strong legs, and they can squeeze themselves into tight spaces. This makes them a common household pest.
In order to avoid these insects invading your bedroom, you should make sure that your bed is raised up off the floor. This will discourage roaches from climbing onto your bed. Roaches are nocturnal, so their activity is at its peak at night. If you want to avoid having roaches crawling on you while you sleep, consider using a compact blanket. These blankets offer the same amount of warmth as larger designs, but they don’t hang as low.
Another way to prevent cockroaches from infesting your bed is to keep it clean. Cockroaches thrive in dirty, dusty places, so if you find a mess in your bedroom, they will likely walk over it in search of food. This is especially common at night, when they will come out of hiding and look for food.
When you notice cockroaches on your bed, you may want to keep food out of your bedroom and in a sealed container. If you can’t keep the food out of your bedroom, you can use a roach repellent, which is usually found in insecticides and household sprays. In addition to using a repellent, you can also use peppermint and cypress oil to keep them away. These oils can be mixed with water and sprayed directly on the roaches.
