Does Cockroach Give Birth to Bed Bugs?
The cockroach does not give birth to bed bugs. The adult bed bug has a flat oval body and is approximately 3/16 of an inch long. Its antennae are short and it has dark eyes. Like other household insects, bedbugs do not fly but can move quickly over surfaces. The larvae are similar in appearance but smaller and whiter in colour.
If a cockroach feeds on bedbugs, there is a higher chance of an infestation. Cockroaches feed on a variety of foods, including human hair, dead skin, and other organic matter. If you think a cockroach is feeding on bedbug eggs, you should have your home pest checked by a pest control company.
Adult female bed bugs lay eggs in hiding places. Usually, they deposit one to five eggs per day. The nymphs develop into adults in about 21 days. As a result, you may find the infestation spreading throughout your home in just a few weeks. You should be aware that bedbugs are notoriously difficult to eliminate once they have taken hold.
Although bedbugs can survive in a non-bed environment, they do not normally develop a major infestation. Therefore, if a small number of these bugs appear in a home without a sleeping person, you should take action as soon as possible. While there is no need to close your home, it is advisable to educate your employees on pest control measures and follow established protocols.
