Cockroaches Will Eat Soap

Although cockroaches will not harm you by eating soap, you should never attempt to get rid of them using only soap. If you find a cockroach in your home, you should try to remove it as quickly as possible. If you can’t remove the roaches, you can use baking soda. Baking soda will kill them. You can also add sugar to it. Cockroaches are attracted to sugar and can eat the mixture.

When a cockroach dies, it releases an odor called oleic acid. The pungent odor attracts other cockroaches.
