Dubia roaches are especially good for bearded dragons because they have a moderate level of fat and high levels of other nutrients. This insect can be fed to your beardie several times daily.

If you want to introduce cockroaches to your beardie’s diet, you must be aware of the potential dangers of roaches. Cockroaches carry bacteria that can cause infections, and they can cause death. Therefore, you should always inspect roaches thoroughly before you begin feeding them. For young bearded dragons, you can introduce a small number of roaches. As they get older, you can introduce larger roaches.

You can feed your beardied dragon up to 30 live cockroaches daily. Just be sure to choose a size-appropriate cockroach. It is better to feed one roach per day rather than several, as the beardie will likely overeat the other ones. If you feed too many cockroaches to your beardie, it may become overstimulated and bite you.
