How to Get Rid of Bed Bug Stains
Bed bug stains can be difficult to remove from clothes, but there are some steps you can take to get the job done effectively. First, you should make sure the clothing is dry, not damp. You can also use a lint roller or tacky roller to remove the bed bug droppings. Then, wear rubber gloves to wipe the affected areas. Finally, you can use white vinegar to kill the bedbugs, but don’t soak the clothes with it, or it will damage them.
You can also use hydrogen peroxide, but you should always test a small area first. Another option is to mix a quart of water with one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent or ammonia and spray the stained area. Once the solution has been applied, you can either air-dry the fabric, or run it through the washing machine. You can then scrub the stained area with a clean sponge or rag. Make sure not to scrub the blood stains with the cleaning solution because this can cause the stain to soak further into the fabric.
Bed bug droppings look like small, dark spots. They’re about the size of a ballpoint pen dot. They’re dark red or black, and may contain a black or brown fluid. The color is similar to ink, and it’s hard to distinguish between them and other animal droppings.
