If you have a sofa that’s heavily infested with bed bugs, you may have to throw it away. If you’re not able to throw it away, you might be able to get rid of it by washing it in hot water and tumble-drying it. If you have a wooden bed frame, you can consider replacing it with a metal one.
The adult bed bug is about one-fifth of an inch long. It has wingless antennae and tiny compound eyes. The pronotum, or back part of the head, bears many small hairs. The immature, or nymph, stage is a quarter-inch long and is lighter yellowish-white in color.
